When I first got engaged I immediately knew I wanted something unique and unusual as my engagement ring. I spent hours on the internet and finally found out about McCaul Goldsmiths. My fiance and I made the trip to London and we could not have been made more welcome. Barry let me try on a wide range of rings until I eventually found "the one." I have received so many comments about my beautiful ring and I still catch myself staring at my left hand with a huge smile on my face. The wedding ring was also nothing short of spectacular and I can honestly say that for me, there is no other jewellers than can even compare to McCaul. Their work is elegant, classy, unique whilst being timeless. I cannot recommend this Goldsmiths enough.

I worked with McCaul's to design an engagement ring. The whole process from start to end was positive. They listened to my needs and responded accordingly, the cost was really competitive and I have come away with a ring I love to look at and wear. Since this encounter I've been back for additional projects and each time has been a positive experience. I can't recommend the McCaul brothers enough.

We came across McCaul Goldsmiths by chance, when meeting friends for lunch at Exmouth Market. The commissioning process was simple. I saw a ring I liked in the cabinet, and asked for it to be made in rose gold: no problem. My husband wanted a ring that complemented mine but was less feminine, so we looked through a box of prototypes and brought together elements from various pieces. The end result was perfect. Especially the sizing, which was done in half sizes - something we had not been offered elsewhere. Perhaps the most impressive thing was that David and Barry put what must have been quite a small order for them, through at their busiest time of year. The order was produced at short notice, to an exemplary standard, and with friendly advice and service along the way.

Buying 'the ring' for the fussiest fiance on the planet was always going to be a daunting experience, but I guess that is what everyone thinks when they start out!! From the first time I spoke to Barry on the phone, right through to the day we walked out of the shop two months later, I was more and more pleased with the overall experience we had been through. The finished product is the most beautiful, elegant and timeless take on a classic style of engagement ring. One of a kind. The way in which the shop is laid out with the workshop visible in the back and the friendly helpful staff gives McCaul's a special quality which makes you feel so involved with the whole process. Barry, Dave and the other staff are so helpful and knowledgeable and were happy to spend as much time as was needed on talking through all of the details and specifics. In the search of perfection, the tiniest details are the most important and so often the most easily forgotten. The most highly recommended jeweller I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. A wholly enjoyable experience from start to finish, perfection in the final product.

This the second time I have bought a 'push ring' from McCaul. I have had a look at many rings in London, in the UK, and abroad for this second ring, but in the end chose McCaul again. I cannot exactly describe what it is that sets their stuff apart from everyone else's. Their jewellery is timeless and beautifully crafted. Their pieces look most elegant and quite unique without being vulgar. The service is flawless. I will certainly return for the next 'push ring'.

We do not get a lot of custom made rings with a reasonable price in Hong Kong. My fiancé and I had been in search of the right wedding bands for a while and nothing looked as good as the ones McCaul could offer. Barry had been extremely helpful and promptly answered all our questions through emails. As we're not physically in London, we sent actual ring sizers to them to ensure that the bands would fit perfectly. The end product is exactly what we wanted - contemporary and beautifully made. I highly recommend them!

We ordered our rings online without seeing them in person - the service was wonderful. They provided us with photos and videos of the rings, gave us all the details to help us decide on the material and size and answered all of our queries quickly. Rings were delivered on time and they are absolutely gorgeous, very good craftsmanship and unique design!
